Also going with seats. The standard seats suck IMO.
I went with electric BMW E46 seats because I'm lazy, and liked the style. They also mostly just bolt in, which is nice. Although I am looking longingly at a set of E92 seats because they have more adjustment options. Downside, I'd need to work out how to control them as they, apparently, talk to the ECU.
Second, though, definitely swapping to an air-to-air cooling solution. The factory charge cooler system seems entirely unpredictable, and I like having less moving parts involved in cooling.

https://i.imgur.com/g2NIbpur.jpg obviously just some cheapy ones to test with and not lose much cash if it was all a foolish idea.
https://i.imgur.com/hJ7QUnC.jpg I made a cardboard aided design and had some little plates made out of 6mm mild steel, the front holes lined up perfectly.
As for the electrics, I added a second fuse box and wired them fused to ignition switched 12v as they are in the BMW - the e92 seats are different apparently - but the E46 seats are popular in the hotrod scene because all you need is 12 and ground.
The seatbelt anchors bolt on in the same place as the BMW ones, just need a little spacer between the legs of the pretensioner mount to be able to torque them up right.

I don't know how much they weigh, but I don't remember them weighing much more than the standard seats tbh. I definitely didn't have any issues with weight when picking them up or putting them in. Not to say they're light, but yeah. All things considered, not too bad.
