Lakeside, Essex - Saturday 16/5

A friend of mine said he saw a Mk1 FRS over Lakeside on Saturday night which looked like it experienced some engine problems - smoke being thrown out the back and the car sounding like it wasn't running on all cylinders. Does anyone know who this was? I'm curious to know as I have see it a couple of times before and wanted to know how serious the damage was.

I can't remember the reg, but it was the only FRS which appeared to go bang on Saturday night lol

If it was the only 1 there it was probably me :-) it was nothing serious I kept blowing off the turbo boost pipe coz I adjusted the actuator too much and didn't tighten up the jubilee clip up tight enough :-) hope it sounded good before the pipe off :-)

I never realised you go over to Lakeside, we met briefly at BHP show when you knocked on my window (and I have you on facebook lol). Next time you are over there we will have to say hello to each other!

Yeah we still not had a chat :-). I haven't had a rolling road done on mine yet, but soon ;-). My mate (dottie) recons 320bhp by the way it feels. What about your car?

Haven't had mine put on the rolling road either, and I can't really guess what it's running as I haven't compared it to another FRS yet lol. Currently has a BCS turbo back exhaust (sports cat), front mount intercooler, AP clutch, a K&N filter located to just behind the headlight and the turbo housing has been spun. I have a John FRS hybrid and a JEK manifold waiting to be fitted but I'm looking to buy some uprated parts before I book it in at Sabre to get the work done

I'm not out for the next couple of Saturday's but when I am next over Lakeside I will drop you a message on FB to see if you are about :)

Oh, also, did a black Astra diesel try to race you over Lakeside a couple of weeks ago? My mate owns it, he tried to race a few RS's a couple of weeks ago and wanted to know what those RS's were running lol

Cool mods, should see over 300 :) I'm going to enjoy mine as it is before upgrading to fmic and sabre mapping as I have only had mine a short time :-). I can't remember if I raced the astral as there were soo many cars driving about, and I always have an eye out for the LSPD :-). (Lake Side Police Department ;-)
