  • Silicone hoses

    Hi all,

Recently bought my FRS and was wanting to renew the coolant hoses/pipes.

Have people renewed hoses like for like meaning original rubber ones? Are these still available or have people gone to silicone hoses? If so what brand ones have been used?

    Thanks Dale

Not sure if the originals are still available but you could always go black silicone for a better material and will last longer than the standard rubber hoses. Roose, Samco or Pro hoses are probably amongst the most popular.
    I hope this helps.

    CheeRS. Lee.

Your best bet is probably the Roose OE black finish silicone hoses, gives you the reliablilty of silicone but available with the OE finish and without branding if required also.

Some original hoses can be found but sadly some have been discontinued. As Dan has recommended, Roose is a very good option and they are highly regarded.

Also if this is of interest to you then we can arrange a club discount code.

          Thanks for the replies.

I fitted a set of the Roose ones to my Sierra Cosworth years ago and they were a good fit. So I had been looking at these for the FRS, I just thought Iโ€™d get all your feedback as to which route other people have gone.

Yes I would be interested in a club discount code Clayton, is this direct from Roose Sport?

Yes, the discount code can be used when purchasing from the Roose Motorsport website. Add the discount code in checkout.

I have just emailed Roose to ask for an updated code and if there is anything on offer for our club members for Christmas.

I am led to believe mine had Roose Hoses OEM look, no branding and some of them are absolutely solid compared to the ones with Ford on them.

Thanks mate, I think I will get the OE black looking ones. They will go nicely in a standard engine bay.
have to hope Santa brings me lots of money instead of presents this year. Or I could tell each family member to get me a single hose ๐Ÿ˜‚

The discount code for our club members is not a set code, Roose does change the code from time to time.
Any members interested in any Roose hoses, then please let me know and I can send you a PM with the discount code after checking with Roose.
