  • Battery dead ...part 2

Changed the battery today but the Ford alarm is going off constantly. Tried opening and locking the door both with the key and via the fob, also put ignition on but didn't attempt to start the car. It did stop when I locked the door at one point but as soon as I opened the door it started sounding off again. It is the Ford alarm horns from the front of the car. Strange because the GT alarm is not operational as we failed to activate it as per Claytons instructions last summer.

However when the battery totally died the battery back up was going off on the GT alarm somehow?
Anyhow seems like the Ford alarm is the issue now, can't stop it going off.
    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks. Lee.

I have no experience with the GT alarm, as that’s a UK spec (I’d say 99% of LHD cars don’t have the GT alarm).
Regarding the Ford alarm: You might want to check the bonnet latch, could be a faulty the sensor.

Hi Clayton, lovely offer but I will have to have my mate up with me so we got one on the battery and one on the doors or ignition etc. I am not sure when he will be available. I can check and let you know if that is any good to you?
