  • Cold air feed

Good morning all, I have had a good search but cant find anything. Does anyone have any photos of a cold air feed setup for an in engine bay intake. Currently running 370BHP and notice IAT getting up to 35-40 on a hot day.

Would I right in thinking that right side fog light can be removed and a 89mm port and house can be fitted?

Does anyone have any links of a good setup to buy?

Pretty sure you be looking at something custom which you have to make yourself.
You can remove the foglight but surely the diameter is not 89mm. It wil be around 60mm, if not smaller.

I'm running 390bhp with chargecooler and sometimes in traffic jams I see 38-40 max, never had an issue.

Currently got a set of Morette's ready to swap for hot track days only, this in combination with the WRC bonnet vents I hope to get the temperatures a little bit lower.
    Not tested yet.

My bumper is completely modified and used the foglight area to fit custom trumpets to cool the brakes.

I have both fogs removed and 50mm ducting installed from there into the bay. + Saph vented bonnet. One is aimed straight at my air filter (behind headlight).
I'm sure it does help somewhat but the difference is minimal, you'd be surprised how much air passes through the bay as it is. 35-40 (degrees celcius?) is pretty high, what intercooler/air filter arrangement are you running?
I rarely see above 20-25 even with sustained hard driving and thats only on a basic 70mm Airtec cooler with spun housing. It only gets up to above 30 when sat still for a long time and then naturally drops when moving again.

Plus it looks cool 😜. I was quite happy with the chargecoolers performance, but always paranoid about pump problems and the cost of replacing the leaking box if/when it happens. A2A is just much simpler and one less thing to worry about.

Hi, i have the same setup. 70mm Airtec with a large K&N behind the headlight. I am seeing 35 on hot days after sitting in traffic. When moving its more like 25-28 degrees Celsius.

You will see those temps sat in traffic and for a brief period once you get moving again, its unavoidable and not really an issue to be fair. Once the air starts to move through the cooler it will quickly drop.

Seen quite a few with vents so will try removing fogs and with ducting and getting vents done.
