Going to be giving the RS it’s first service in my ownership…

Advice for the following please -
    • Oil
    • Spark plugs
    • Coolant

    planning a K&N panel filter
    Ford oil and pollen filter
bought a second hand water pump so it’ll be going for refurb at SP
    timing belt-gates the best option?

I’ll change the brake fluid once I’ve got another set of calipers that are refurbed to put on.

    - Any decent 5w30 oil (I use Motul)
    - Ford plugs (gap them at 0,7)
    - Ford coolant (pink)
    - Gates timing belt is good (buy a full set incl.
tensioner) and don’t forget to buy 2 new cam pulley
    bolts.
    - Aux. belt tensioner pulley is no longer available from
Ford but many aftermarket ones available.

      Thanks.
So just standard ford plugs no denso or aftermarket?
what is the oil capacity too?

Does anyone know of an oem aux belt and tensioner?

I was considering magnecor leads too more as an aesthetic over standards.

Standard plugs, gapped will do up to 300bhp I’d say.
Just like the coil and leads.
Oil capacity: 4,25L incl filter (use genuine Ford filter).
Coolant capacity is 5,25L incl heater matrix
Chargecooler capacity is 2,5L (use 50% Ford coolant and 50% demineralised water ).

I would look at Demon Performance Parts, many parts can be found on their website. DPC supports our club members so let me know what your after and happy to email. The aux belt tensioner apparently is NLA from Ford but DPC offers an approved Aux belt kit.

As bart said. Any decent brand oil 5W30 will be fine. I’ve always used standard plugs gapped to 0,7 these are well up to the job on any engine up to 3000bhp.
if you check the how to section i made one on changing cam belt should you not be 100% sure on how to do this. Fairly straightforward if you know your way around the spanners

Thanks lads. It’ll be getting done at AG Motorsport or ARC performance. Purely just to keep a stamp in the book for re-sale value.

BartFRS , Motul oil? I use it in my bike, but never considered it, for my car. I've always used Fuch Titan Race Pro 5w40. Yes, I used the 40 weight, otherwise my engine will eat the 30, with the power it's running.

As for plugs, Denso ITV27's gapped to 0.6 work for me at over 400bhp.
                  Always genuine Ford Coolant though.
Standard leads are best for all power. I tried the KV85 options but they were rubbish. Went back to standards and no issues.

Motul 300V Competition, 15w50 is what I use. Even the previous owner used it for many years.
