Is the ST170 and RS exhaust the same format under the car?

I would be interested to know this, as at first glance it certainly looks similar.
I would imagine from the cat back it is potentially, although it is a smaller diameter for certain. 2.25" rings a bell whereas the rs is 2.5"

Its the smaller diameter you want to stay away from on the st170 exhaust.
