I get 12v on one of the pins when the ignition is turned on.

I'm not sure if that's for the boost controller solenoid with will either be bolted to the side of the air filter box if you have one or likely to be cable tied to the induction hose if you have an induction kit fitted. If your car is running direct then you won't have a boost solenoid and that could be why it's unplugged if that is what that plug is for, I've had a look at mine and that plug is fixed to the side of the battery box and one wire seems to go in the direction of the boost solenoid which is why I have guessed that could be what it's for.

Pretty sure the amal valve uses one of those two pin bosch fuel rail connectors.

Mine has a sensor of some kind plugged in but floating loose in the engine bay around there, I can't remember what plug it uses but I think it was the pictured style. No idea what it's for, though.

Edit: Classic, I went out to the car to find what I was talking about and get a picture, but of course I couldn't find it before work needed my attention again.

I'm wrong and it's not for the boost solenoid but the solenoid wiring is inside the same plastic tubing as the wiring for that plug the wires for that plug go under the battery tray but it should be fixed to the side of the battery box. The pictures underneath are of the plug on my car sorry they aren't the best pictures but they are best I get in the dark.

Thanks for the help. Im having a problem with the car, when it heats up and I try to accelerate, even slightly, its not running right. Not really a misfire because it idles perfectly. I'll see if I can get it plugged back in and see if it makes a difference. if anyone figures out what its for then please let me know. Cheers
