is it yours? Nothing telling me it is an RS one as no engine code in it, could well be a std 2.0 zetec one, and you can buy a complete NA engine for that

I agree Chris, mine has HMDA followed by some other letters + numbers stamped above the thermostat housing location.
Yes im aware the head itself is the same, but without the rs components its worth 50% of the asking price at best. You would think the heads brand new would still be stamped with the engine code? Although thats easy to replicate.
This could be a crate head as I know of another purchased from the Foray Ford Parts years ago but this one sold. I enquired about it recently to help a fellow member out (Tamas_0892) but couldn't get hold of it as the buyer wants to keep hold to build a spare engine.
I have messaged the seller to ask if he has any pictures to see if we can compare to this Ebay advert and will let you know when I hear back.
Thank you for taging Clayton. Unfortunately in my country, the engine code (HMDA) must be stamped on the head the be road legal. I have an EDDC 2.0 blacktop zetec (originally bought for the exhaust camshaft for my original engine) so we could easily change the valves, springs and camshafts from the cracked head to this, but it won't be road legal here. :(
Numbers and letters are your engine number, and if original engine it will be equal to the last 7 digits of your VIN number.
Yes knew it was the engine code, but not aware of the vin reference. Will check it out.
Without any proof bit of a risk buying the head in my opinion, although potentially a bargain.
Sure, if you're happy paying £350 for a head worth £50-£100 then no problems, i personally would prefer some kind of proof of originality if i was paying that cash.
