  • Spare wheel - Space saver?

Do people use space saver wheels for the Rs or put a full size in the boot?

Any cool way of putting the wheel in the well and amending th boot carpet to match. Anyone done it?

As i only use my car for shows i keep a brand new full size wheel and tyre in the boot. Couldn't stand turning up at a show with a space saver on.

The original wheel with the tyre fitted won't fit in the tyre well Ian.

The ST170 space saver will fit in the well. The space saver however will only fit to the rear of the car because of the size of the front discs/calipers. If you have a front tyre needs changing this will mean a swap over with a back tyre to the front, then fit the space saver to the rear.

I would suggest putting the full size wheel in the boot on top of the carpet - a trim shop could easily make up a matching carpet cover and perhaps if you felt more creative fill in the gaps to each side providing storage and keeping it secure - sorta of a storage compartment with space for the wheel in the centre.

ST170 wheel in mine...fits perfectly in the well and carpet sits level ! Used it on rear once ! Better than messing around with foam etc

As above - Have a ST170 space saver and jack in mine (Foam thingy/compressor etc stored away for future ) and as stated above only fits on the rear, but you only have to swap the wheels around if you have a flat on the front. And as stated carpet sits level.
