Alarm fobs

After reading a couple of posts i am still in the dark about these.
did they not come with all cars ? were they an option ? i have the sensors on the pillars but no fobs. all i got was one remote tibbe key and a master

All UK cars came with two GT alarm fobs (RS logo) from new.

The GT alarm fitted is a Thatcham Category 1 car alarm; it was this which helped reduce the car to a low insurance group back in the day.

You can still buy the fobs new from Ford for about £130 each IIRC.

Do you have a part number for the fobs? I phoned ford's a few weeks back they claimed to not know what I was going on about said that it's only listed as having the standard alarm obviously I know that's rubbish as I have just got my gt alarm up and running thanks to clayton.

Not at home to get you the part number Roxy but gave one I would sell if you are happy with a second hand one with a new loop casing.

Can anyone advise of you can just buy the rubber casing / loop as mine has broken

The Focus GT fob remains something of a mystery to me. Would it be possible for someone to post a photo?
i have seen several on eBay- can they be reprogrammed ?
or is better to try Ford but they don't seem to think they exist if I have read earlier posts correctly!

perhaps I will even see a real one at Santa Pod😄

Clayton is it possible to look into a group buy on the fob casings? As most peoples loop has snapped ! Even if its a third party who manufacturer them

Good Post micko, both loops have gone on mine and one of my button area ( main one i use ) dont think will last much longer..!!! Cracked/ very creased :-) Think this would be a very big Club Group Buy Clayton if you could sort something out

It has the information in the rs supplement guide that should be in your leather wallet with the service book and audio guide. I will get a photo of this information later if needed as I don't have it to hand at the moment.
