Evening folks, just thought I’d pop my head in here seeing as I’ve just bought myself a nice mk1 RS, build number is 3150. 👍

I owned another mk1 RS that I sold back in late 2014 to release funds to get my Sierra Sapphire Cosworth build completed quicker due to my daughter being on her way. That was build number 3646, reg no BC03 CFE. Hopefully it’s still around somewhere!

It was the only car I’ve owned that I regretted selling as soon as soon as it drove off down the road! 😖

So here I am with another one! For the last 4.5 years I’ve owned a nice 450 bhp 2004 Subaru Impreza STI but fancied a change so I bit the bullet and went for it!

I hope to get to a few shows and events next year when the weather improves so it would nice to meet a few folk!

    cheers,

    Gaz.

Welcome back to Mk1 Focus RS ownership & joining our club Gaz.

3646 was in connection with our club after your ownership, then exchanged hands to a guy on Facebook, but I've lost connection with 3646 since he sold it.

It will be good to see you join us at some shows next year.

            Nice one, thanks guys 👍

Glad to be back in a Mk1 again, I really enjoyed the Subaru but hardly ever used it as I found it a little difficult to live with these days (a VERY heavy uprated clutch and a left leg I smashed to bits in a motorbike accident doesn’t help! 😖) and I got the itch for another Mk1 so here we are 😂

The Mk1 is a lot more fun to drive, although not quite as fast as the Subaru and is much easier for me to drive, so hopefully I’ll get to enjoy more, weather permitting! 😜

              Thanks mate 👍

Thats a shame, hopefully it’s still alive! 😬

I’m looking forward to getting along to some shows, haven’t done any for year’s due to work and other bits and bobs so fingers crossed I’ll get myself out a bit more! 😂

                    Welcome
Your car history seems similar to mine. I owned a 2003 Subaru Impreza Sti Jdm model which I had tuned to 480 brake then sold it in 2013 and bought a Sierra Cosworth, which I still own. Then three years ago I purchased Mk1 FRS build number 2358.
I know the car you’ve recently bought quite well and have seen it quite a few times as it was local to me. I am surprised Tom sold it to be honest.

                        Hello mate 👍

                        Yeah I’ve had a few! 😂

I did it the opposite way to you, had the cossies then went to Subaru! I did enjoy the Subaru, wasn’t quite as quick as my cossies were but it was a more capable car overall I think. There were only 2 things I didn’t want when I was looking for a Scoob, I didn’t want a black one and I didn’t want a UK model as I wanted all the JDM good bits. Somehow I ended up with a black UK model!

Yeah it all happened a bit by accident really! I went out to a job and the guy was into his motors and we got chatting and I mentioned I was looking to get back into a Ford again, a mk1 FRS in particular and that I was going to look at one on the following Monday but after finding it on an auction site, I decided it was too tatty for me and it had suffered a head gasket failure also but that’s an easy fix for me. He then said that he knew of a lovely one that was his old car that had just come up for sale so I took Tom’s details and had a chat with him, met Tom and viewed the car on the Saturday afternoon and here we are! I actually took Tom’s details as it was more for a mate who was looking for an FRS as well as I wanted to ideally shift the scoob first but he wasn’t interested because the battery was in the boot! Oh well, his loss is my gain! Luckily after dealing with a few messers (I hate selling cars!) the scoob sold surprisingly quickly which meant I could get the FRS quickly 👍

Tom’s a really sound guy and he’s looked after the FRS very well! I’m sure he’ll have another toy soon!

My daughter still hasn’t forgiven me for selling HER Subaru and I still think she wants to kill me!
