New member - now I need the car!

Evening folks,

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong area but I’ve just joined so wanted to say ‘hi’. I’m a long time lurker so thought it was about time I handed over some cash to become a member. The Mk1 has been on my radar since it was launched but couldn’t quite stretch to the 19k in ‘03 and have come perilously close a couple of times to getting one since. I’ve got the strong urge again and have procured the funds from SWMBO. All online buying guides read, YouTube vids watched and the old articles in EVO dug out and re-read. Now I just need the car! The budget is @17k to give me some change to get a service , tyres etc but grateful for any pointers. I realise the budget means I’m looking at higher milers but the amount is fixed.

I am happy to help you with your search for your Focus RS. I can maybe able to help with the history of them from following these special cars for over 20 years, know the majority of the UK registered cars.

I wouldnt be too worried about the mileage anyway. Theres some really nice higher milers out there!

Welcome to the club, good luck in finding the car you want but dont rush into buying the first one you see there's some bad ones out there unfortunately. That being said theres good ones too, use the pages well to find one thats known and ask plenty on here. That should hopefully steer you in the right direction.
