Kind of introduced myself in the Cars Wanted section but thought would do it proper like.

Picked 3331 up 2 weeks ago now, so far so good not found anything that ring alarm bells (yet 🤣).

Got a few things I want to do over the next few months so no doubt will be asking lots of questions. First up is changing the headlights as currently got ST170 black lights on it, after some originals if anyone has any ideas where there are a set?

First wash today - look forward to meeting up at some shows/meets in the next few months

First off you could try sticking a post up in the wanted section for the headlights. Are you on facebook? Worth trying there too as theres a few groups which are useful and headlights do pop up from time to time as many upgrade to the st170 xenon versions.

If you get really stuck and you're reasonably confident with the tools you can use normal facelift focus headlights. You will need to split them and chrome paint the indicator reflector inside but they will then be identical to rs ones.

Cheers Dan - that was my last resort plan, happy to have a go at anything and can find my way around a toolbox. Are they chrome then, I've seen a place selling clear lenses but painting sounds like an option 🏻

Yes mate chrome. You could potentially try a chrome wrap instead if you dont like the idea of painting the little lenses.

Thanks Clayton - Have found the forum invaluable thanks to everyone that has pointed me in the right directions 🏻

I did take your advice and posted on FB, almost got a swap going on but the distance was too far (different ends of the country). I got a bit carried away on eBay and got a set of headlights which on the face of it look in good condition will see when they arrive, I now need to block eBay on my devices 🤣 Thanks for the avatar pic looks great.

Well the long term plan is to get back to standard, cosmetically that's started BUT after looking at the work that's been done and the modifications that are left on I may drag my heels for a bit 🤣 After owning a standard car for 10 years I'm thinking I may enjoy the mods for a while longer.
