Its been quite some time since I was last on an owners club forum. Thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Build number 2346 collected today. Nice uneventful drive home as the weather was horrific sadly. I've a rather long list of things to do. First off is sorting out the linglong ditch finders on the car. These are coming off tomorrow for a set of Michelin PS4's. Then off for a rather good look over and major service, cambelt water pump and thermostat etc.

First impressions though are super positive!. Much much different to the RX7's I've come from.

Thank you everyone. It's nice to see an active forum for what is now a pretty niche car.

I'll start a project thread/build soon. Tbh it's past garage ornament stage now so the idea for me really is just to drive and enjoy it. Participate in the odd track day and attend some show's when things begin to open up.

Good to know the current owner of 2346 as this is a car I lost track of for a good time and last I heard of the car was going through a car auction in March this year. Was owned by a long-term owner who purchased the car in July 2004.

You will love the Mk1 Focus RS and hope we see you joining us at some shows this year.

Oh and great choice on the Michelin PS4 tyres for your Focus RS, quite a popular tyre for the FRS.

In my opinion, the best tyre that looks right on the RS.... maybe me being an anorak with the car rolling off the line with Michelin's.

That's great to know that the PS4's are a good choice. I found a good deal on Black Circles so opted to have all four replaced. £366 fitted which I thought was decent.🏻

The owner who I won't name on a forum, really really cherished the car. What ever it needed it got. The amount of paperwork is unreal. A lot of work was done at SCC which isn't to far from me. I think unfortunately when it was sold on it got a little neglected ☹️ However after a quick trip up to Jamsport we've got a plan formed on carrying out all the niggly things that need doing. Inc changing the sump pan as it's erm a little soft shall we say. 😅 I did get some pics of the underneath while on the ramp which I will post up.

I've no shame in admitting it was the £14k off eBay that appeared last week. While it's a leggy at 100k miles, it's an honest one which swayed me.

I might be on my own here but i dont even consider 100k bad on a 20 y/o car. Especially one thats been maintained to a high standard.
A lot of the FRS's issues are age related not mileage 😉.
