Newbie here looking at PK53KUP / no2731

[Crossy10]

Hi guys, newbie here. Been looking for a mk1 for a few months now and one has come up for sale local to me that I'm going to look at.

PK53 KUP. Build number 2731.

Car looks good in the pics and has had quite a bit of engine work recently.

Does anyone have any info on the car ?

cheers

Nicky

Hello and welcome Nicky!

Do you have a link to the advert of 2731?
I see the car is listed on the buildlist, Clayton might have some info I reckon.

Hi Bart,

thanks for the reply. The car is currently on eBay and is literally 5 miles from me so worth a look I think.

Looks like an honest enough car from the advert, definitely worth having a look in person if its nice and close. If its had issues with a rusty subframe in the past i would probably be inclined to have a proper poke around underneath as much as you can though.

I totally agree with DanT404, go and have a look but be aware of rust.
Get the car on a ramp for a proper inspection.

Welcome to the forum and club Crossy. Please see some history I have sent to you via Private Message.

Have also sent you my contact number in case you would like to call me while looking over the car?

[Crossy10]

Well the car was pretty rough unfortunately so have given it a miss.

Will keep my eyes peeled for another one.

If anyone knows of any for sale. Please let me know.
