Hi all had the car since June. Planning on a little bit of upgrading over winter. First steering pipes as one has split. Nearly standard but had decat, which I plan to put right, and not sure what else. Anyone with previous knowledge of the car please let me know! Considering the standard upgraded intercooler and filter but not sure I want to move the battery as yet. Anyone any advice?

Hello and welcome 👋. I have the k&n induction kit with the filter in the same position as the the standard air filter housing with the waterproof sock on the filter to stop water soaking it which has worked fine for the last 3 or 4 years but obviously I avoid driving it through deep water just to be on the safe side, so if yours isn't a daily and only comes out in decent weather then leaving air filter under the battery is a good place to have it and you won't have to move the battery.

Hi all, I have made a start on the steering pipe( lower stainless steel one in front of intercooler) one side came off the other is cross threaded so now useless
. Any ideas where I can get a replacement? It's the one that goes from the pump to the front pipe and I think has the sensor included. Can't find any online but also don't have the part number yet. Do main dealers still stock parts for Mk1? Regards Colin
