  • No. 0438 - 2002 Ford Focus RS MK1 Greetings

    Greetings fellow RS owners!

I am the very grateful new owner of 438. I believe a previous owner may have been a member on here.

I have many questions and wish to learn more not just about my own car but the MK1 Focus RS in general!

Hello and welcome 👋. You are in the right place to learn about the rs so any questions ask away and someone in here will most likely be able to help.

Thank you Poynter87. I have already asked a question in the Technical Forum about coding a RS immobiliser fob.

Thank you all again for the warm welcome!

Today I completed my first repair: I replaced the centre brake light. This would have been a simple fix if the two hex drive inserts had not rusted away on the M6 bolts, which hold the brake light in place. In fact the bolts were fused to the brass nut inserts, which are in the actual spoiler. I will detail the repair and how I overcame this problem in an upcoming build thread!

Hello and welcome. I've seen a lot of people leave to buy an M3, they nearly always come back. Great cars but I think you'll be happier in the RS.
I look forward to seeing your thread.
