New owner of #0000

Hi All,
I was lucky enough to find and purchase car #0000 on a recent trip to Japan, I now have the car back home in New Zealand and looking to piece together the history and hopefully the story of how it made it to Japan.

Interesting indeed how it ended up in Japan, congratulations on finding this car and please keep it in good condition!

Welcome to the club forum Adam and good to have communication by email recently. Great to have Focus RS 0000 here, a Focus RS that was built for the development but not commonly known. A car that I personally thought would have been scrapped by Ford Motor Company. Well done for managing to find and purchase this car.

Must be a very early produced car this.
Most test/prototype cars were scrapped as you said, glad to see this one survived!

Thanks guys, looking forward to putting the history together. I will be keeping it in its factory form, it does have a Miltek exhaust but apart from that it is standard. Once we get some better weather I will post some pictures of the car.

White - build date: 30-10-2000
Black - build date: 30-10-2000
Blue - build date: not known


0000 - build date: 18-04-2002
0001 - build date: 04-09-2002

Would anyone have a rough estimate as to the value of #0000 ? i need to update my insurance. 49,000 on the clock tidy throughout.

No idea on price, same old saying of what someone is willing to pay... not sure how much you managed to secure it for!?

Have you managed to dig up any more history for it??

Clayton do you know If X929 YOO and X930 YOO where also FRS prototypes ? Because 928 and 931 are in the photos
