Hi all what tyres are you all running I am at the point where I need to renew so just wondered what everybody is using thanks

Interested as to what people recommend on these. I should imagine it might be the usual Michelin or Goodyear suggestions. I recall having Goodyear supersports put onto my MK2 which transformed the way it drove! Very impressive. May be better tyres for these though?

I always liked Michelin, and still do (I drive the Cup 2 on road and occasional on track, but only use the RS in dry).
I think the best all round sporty road use tires at the moment are Continental Sport Contact.

But all depends on usage, driving style and personal 'what you expect'.

I should imagine there is an element of what deal is available too.

For me Costco regularly run promotions when you buy 2 or 4 tyres. They normally alternate between the major brands.

I run Michelin PS4s only use the RS in the dry unless I get caught out in the rain. Never had any grip issues and I'm over 400bhp

I always find tyres are a bit of a tricky subject. Lots of people just revert to things they've read on the internet.
Theres a lot of great tyres around nowadays.

Me personally, not a big fan of Michelin tyres as a rule, they tend to perish quickly and with lots of these cars not being used everyday you may have them fitted longer.
Goodyear Eagle F1's are good, currently i run Hankook V12 Evo but im probably due some new ones this year so may try something else.

I just had my wheels refurbished and got full set PS5's from black circles. Got them delivered to the refurbisher who fitted them, so saved in the fitting cost was under £400 for the 4

I recently swapped from PS4 to Khumo Ecsta Sport PS72. They're a good all road tyre, also got them on my Mondeo TXS. Bought from Asda tyres. Using my daughters discount just over £300 set.

Ive used Nankang NS2r's for the last few years (dry use only) which have been excellent but need something stickier so will be swtiching to AR1s on the next swap. Then probably new driveshafts lol
