Ive seen on Facebook over last couple weeks 4 MK1 FRS being broken for parts..!!! Why is this - being broken?

Because they are at the age where parts outweigh the overall value on a car which needs a lot of work.
If you buy a car which has done 150k, needs 4k of welding work and 4k of paintwork, is it worth buying a scabby one at 8k to sink another 8k into it?
You'd buy one at 16k which was nicer to begin with. Its just the age/value they are currently at.
