Ben, this part number is listed on Ford Microcat as - Less anti theft alarm, less interior scanning alarm

Even though you may not use the GT alarm fobs, your car is fitted with a Ford standard alarm. This is activated when the double locking is set, two presses of the locking button on the Ford key.

I've done away with mine, and gone with Aero catches. But I have a clifford fitted, and junked the standard alarm 17 odd years ago....
