  • Private plate

Well over a year ago I came up with a number plate, I decided to go through a company that was going to charge through the roof, so thought I bet
I could do that myself and did so.... well after 14 months I finally have it.

Not got a physical plate yet but on my Mk2 Focus RS my plate is RS60RAW and my new plate for the Mk1 Focus RS s is R560RAW just thought I'd share.

Cracking two plates to match Bob. Plates certainly make cars and to have two so close is a result.

Good stuff will look awesome side by side as Clayton says, quick question though, when you say "I could do that myself" do you mean you approached the DVLA or whoever it is to have the plate created?

Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick, as you can tell I know naff all about private plates! I see them on various sites and just think, thats the price and thats that.

The plate never existed so with after talking the this firm, I thought I would email dvla my self and as the plate never existed they put it through a process that takes 6 to 12 months that's being brief about it

That is what you call a result Bob and you would have never thought it possible. Hats off to you for requesting the plate ;-)

What happens a lot is the cherished plates can be advertised at high prices with private registration companies.

If you search on the DVLA registration website you can find the same plates advertised by them much cheaper as its the DVLA that own them, the other companies are re-advertising them for profit opportunities.
