  • Aftermarket front wings

I've not bought any before but from my experience with aftermarket panels they are always inferior to the Ford ones, the steel is usually a lot thinner and they take a lot of reworking to get them to fit perfectly, including grinding modification and filler, albeit most people/places won't bother so the shut lines won't be perfect.
If you do it right the labour often adds up to as much as the difference in price from the inferior panel to a genuine one from Ford usually..

I've never seen a aftermarket mk1 rs front wing. Only fibreglass

The fibreglass wings that Phoenix Autosport sell are supposed to be an OK fit, obviously they'll need reworking a tad.

I don't think there have ever been any steel 'pattern' wings made so fibreglass or standard replacements are the only real option
