Why do i see so many people breaking there MK1 FRS`s ? just dont understand it

  • #2
it's because they're worth more in parts then as a car
time people start realizing that these are worth more then 5-6k
on the other hand each one that gets broken makes ours more rare plus we need spares to keep em running as ford ain't no good in supplying these

Its a typical Ford trait, people buy the cars once they drop in value as they can now afford them.. they scrimp on maintenance as much as possible during ownership and then sell on, over a few years there are few genuine parts in circulation as no one buys them, Ford discontinue them after a period and further down the line when all the enthusiasts want parts these poorly maintained cars get broken as there is money to be made.

It's sad to see but helps the ones that remain. If I ever had to get rid of mine I would brake it as wouldn't want someone else to have it. And would get at least twice as much.

Standard/original cars are worth more complete than ones that are broken up for parts especialy if they are low milers too.
